Detroit Arts International (DAI) was established in 2005, in response to a need for greater access to African music and dance education in schools and communities throughout the United States, and particularly in the state of Michigan.

Through African music and dance education, we touch people’s hearts, strengthen their minds, and promote self-awareness and inner confidence. DAI gives people knowledge, skills, and understanding so they may live empowered lives, be self-reliant, and think independently. More...
