In the first quarter of 2008 Detroit Arts International (DAI) will promote a series of lecture performances, workshops, live concerts and seminars that will feature prominent artists and speakers like Emeritus Professor J.H. Kwabena Nketia, Abuakwa African Music and Dance Ensemble, and Professor Akin Yuba.

We will also feature virtuosi instrumentalists from Africa who will perform mainly for schools in Michigan. The project will cover various aspects of African classical music and dance history.
